Star Trek Online, probably is one of the most anticipated mmorpg for the year 2010. After the successful release of Champions Online, Cryptic Studios is planning for their next big release. The Star Trek Online will be a full featured mmorpg based on the popular sci-fi hit TV series Star Trek. Due to the large fan base, the game will be a challenge for Cryptic Studios to deliver the gaming experience that is deserved of being labelled 'Star Trek.'

Aside from the game imitating the sophistication of the series, Star Trek Online will adapt the skill based system instead of the conventional leveling system. Players will have to go through 6 ranks, starting from Ensign, Lieutenant, Lieutenant Commader, Commander, Captain and finally Admiral.

But wait, you can even battle it on the ground with up to 5 AI subordinates for you to assign tasks and equip with heavy firearm.
